Message Last night when I had them off...

The heir joints on the bottoms of both of them were froze up. I soaked them in risk one and sea foam deep creep. I have always oiled them with we'd 40, or something when I have the car in the air for oil changes.

I think I was making clear what is going on. The nuts on the adjuster nut are not backin off. When I first put these on over last winter, they went on perfectly, with almost zero preload on the bar. I had to move the bar like an eight of an inch to get the bolts to go in the holes. But when it started making all the noise, I could grab the end of the bar and move it with little effort about 3/4 of an inch. The bushings are new, went on at the same time, and so is the bar. The bar mounts are good and tight.

I am trying to find out if there is a specific way they should be as at as where the ends of the bar should be. When I lengthened them last night, I actually had to pull the ends of the bar down about half a inch to get the bolts to line up. And after about 25 miles on the interstate, and 25 miles of these curvy tennesseeback roads, no noise yet.

Another question. I saw oneset of end links that stayed vertical because the bolt was longer and it had a jam nut tha you tightened on the inside of the bar. That way the helm joint is not in a constant bind pressed up againstthebarat a 20 degree angle. Is that something that would make the sway bar work better? If so, I am thinking I am going for grade 8 longer bolts and nuts and trying to set them up like that.
